Ingredients

Greek Yogurt: Be sure to use a greek yogurt. It will be sturdy enough to hold up the apple pie filling and graham cracker crumbs without falling.

Apple Pie Filling: Unbelievably, this is available year round! I opted for a lower sugar variety as I planned to enjoy my Apple Pie Parfaits as a healthier dessert!

Graham Crackers: You will end up crushing these so another option is to purchase graham cracker crumbs!

Additionally, you may also want to consider picking up a can of whipped cream and cinnamon. These are completely optional but take the parfaits to the next level!

How to Make an Apple Pie Parfait

These Apple Pie Parfaits are more about assembly rather than baking. For some, this is a major relief!

Start by adding a layer of graham cracker crumbs to the bottom of your chosen glass. I used small appetizer glasses. These ended up being the perfect size for these treats!

Next, add in your greek yogurt. You may need to use the back of a spoon to flatten it a bit. Don’t stress if it isn’t completely even. The nature of these are that once you dig in they are a bit messed up anyways.

After the yogurt comes the best part- apple pie filling! This should take you up to nearly the top of the glass. Lastly, sprinkle on some graham cracker crumb to even everything out!

You are officially done… unless you want to add whipped cream. If you choose to, I recommend doing so immediately before serving. The parfaits can hold up being prepared but the whipped cream is sure to fall!

Expert Tips and Tricks

  • Using greek yogurt instead of regular yogurt ensure that it does not fall. If you choose to use a regular, less thick yogurt, it may mix with the graham cracker crumbs. It will taste the same, but it may look slightly different from the side.
  • Meal prep these! Everyone meal preps breakfast, lunch, and dinner but who says you can’t prepare your desserts? This will withstand time in the fridge and be a healthier option at the end of a long day.
  • Add some caramel! Adding a squeeze of caramel sauce on top of the apple pie filling would make this treat even more indulgent.

This recipe has 0% fat greek yogurt. That means it has all the benefits of classic greek yogurt with a lower amount of dietary fat and calories. Not everyone will enjoy this type of greek yogurt. It is very thick, so if you like that- this is for you!
